news flash

14 November 2008

divvy got its first media coverage today: in the puget sound business journal and at techflash. funny story…when i sent out my ‘friends and family’ email announcement about the launch, i inadvertently cc’d a business contact (bryan starbuck at talent spring) who, in turn, forwarded the email to his network. so, a bunch of folks in the tech space became privy to my personal background and stories which were not meant for professional consumption. well, my error proved to be a boon, as the psbj saw beyond the fact that i was just another tech startup and saw a story about me and how i came to be where i am. thank you to eric engleman for putting divvy in front of his audience. and for those of you that get the print version, you’ll note that on the facing page there is a q&a with ian freed of the kindle group at amazon. there is no relation. but what are the chances?

divvy idea: piano teachers can use divvy to have their students schedule and pay for lessons. no more having students show up to sessions without a check from mom and dad!

…and we’re back. the team really pulled it together. again. we’ve got a couple of new videos and lots of site improvements. divvy is now. and according to my computer, now is 3 am, which is also bedtime.

check divvy out. i’d love to hear your thoughts and get your feedback.

divvy idea: buy yourself one of these and then use divvy to rent it out to your friends, family, and neighbors. they’ll be scheduling lap time in no time! i want to get one for my condo…
