Make my life easier, please.

By jenny

We come up with a lot of ways Divvy can be used and I want to share my list of top companies or industries that need Divvy because it’d make my life easier. Selfish, I know…but I’m curious to see how much you agree or what else you’d add to the list.

These are happy campers.

These are happy campers.

1) Parks departments. Make it easy to reserve and pay for a camp ground anywhere, especially as we’re approaching the busy season. (Actually ,it’s funny I say this because I am NOT a camper but many of my friends are. Additionally, it’s hysterical in contrast to the next things I list.)

2) Nail Salons. Let me book and pay for my manicure up front so I don’t have to dig in my purse, ding a nail, and pay after. Perhaps offer me a volume discount for booking more than 5 appointments.

3) Limos. If I know I’m going to be out and want someone to drive me around for 4-5 hours, I want to book it online and pay and tip online too.

4) Music Teachers- My schedule changes and I know yours does too. Let me book my next lesson online, please.

5) Personal Trainers- I want to book you online instead of calling you or the front desk to find out what’s available, then look at my calendar, then inevitably have to call and cancel and reschedule when I wuss out of a workout.

What happens when Divvy is added into these situations is the friction is reduced, if not eliminated, from basic transactions. It also increases my likelihood of booking these services again, or booking several appointments at one time.

Any suggestions on places or people you wish used Divvy?

    Crash Pads:

All my friends who travel for significant periods of time need Divvy – I’d love to know when their places will be available for me to use as crash pads. I’m opening up my place in that context. If you’re a friend in my Divvy network, you can use my place. Couch surfing without the pain of coordination. Reduce travel-related stress by reducing/eliminating back and forth calls.

    RideSharing:

Like your limo idea, but for carpooling. If we work together and we’re on the same route, why not sign up via Divvy and schedule pickups AND reimburse you for gas at the same time?

    Bandwidth sharing:

I used to piggy-back on my girlfriend’s network – she was gone during the day and I worked from home. Every month, I’d have to remember to write out a check to pay her. Why not use Divvy to bill it?

    Clothes/accessories sharing:

I have lost many a cute skirt or top when I had roommates, lived with my sisters, or in dorms. Why? Things went mysteriously “missing”. If I had used Divvy to track my wardrobe, instead of just giving out my clothes with the thought “oh, I’ll remember” Then I’m pretty sure I’ll know what happened to my LBD from Kenneth Cole.

When I was constantly in the shop with my POS VW, I wished that I could book appointments online… so I think auto repair shops and/or dealers should use divvy!
